The Inspiration

For the matriarchs of our family, education has always been held in the highest regard. Lorraine Bravante pursued it as her profession. Nancy Nies Bravante enjoyed it as her passion. In the spirit of honoring these amazing women, our family hopes to help change educational opportunities for a few deserving students through the Bravante Mothers’ Scholarship. 

This Scholarship reflects both the values and actions our mothers have taken throughout the course of their lives. They are curious, always with a book in hand and excited to learn something new. They are always prepared to teach, sharing knowledge both taught in classrooms and in the real world. And above all, both women treat everyone they meet with kindness and an eagerness to provide opportunity.

We hope that, through this Scholarship, you will be able to understand who they are and what they stand for.
